Whether you’re looking for the calm waters of a sheltered bay, or the pounding waves of a renowned surf beach, we’ve rounded up our top 5 beaches Australia-wide.
5. KIRRA BEACH, COOLANGATTA, QUEENSLAND

Coolangatta’s main beach, Kirra, is ideal for long picturesque walks, thanks to its pristine, wide shoreline. A favourite amongst the locals for morning workouts, this beach offers spectacular sunrises over the bay and Snapper Rocks. Don’t forget to pack a light sweater to keep the morning chill at bay while you wait for the sun to rise.

4. BELLS BEACH, VICTORIA

Home to the longest continuously running surfing competition in the world, the iconic Bells Beach is a must-visit on the Victorian coast. If you’re not confident enough to take a plunge into the cool water, you can watch the surfers from the safety of the Bells Walking Track which runs along the coastline.
GAZMAN Tip: Walk, run or ride the 3.20km Bells Track from Bird Rock to Bells Beach and finish off with a swim in the cool water. Consider wearing a collared polo to protect your neck from the sun as you make your way along the rugged coastline. Once you reach Bells Beach we'd recommend swimming between the flags, as this beach is known for its strong tide and rips.

A firm favourite for South Australian holiday-makers, Robe’s Long Beach has everything you could possibly wish for: Crystal clear waters, 4WD-friendly access, great fishing, surf-breaks and gentle shallows for swimming. With close access to the historic Robe town centre and plenty of nearby accommodation, this white sand beach is perfect for a long family holiday by the sea.
